AMSG supports the Queensland Gold Coast and Hinterland Region, also NSW Tweed and Far North East Areas, which has one of the largest retiree populations in Australia.
As it is largely retirees who are affected by asbestos disease, AMSG was created to offer assistance and advise to the large numbers of people with asbestos disease in this area.
AMSG volunteers are available to help you, through offering telephone support, home and hospital visits, as well as monthly support group meetings.
Remember, you are not alone and AMSG can put you in contact with people who are in a similar situation and have been affected by asbestos. AMSG is here to support you and your family.
AMSG aims to highlight and raise awareness within the community of the dangers posed by asbestos exposure and to minimise the risk of asbestos exposure to future generations.
AMSG seeks to improve health and support services for people with asbestos related diseases, their families and the broader community. Our goals are that sufferers of asbestos related diseases will be offered a better quality of life and have access to greater treatment options and care.
